The Happening (2008)

Overview:

With­out warn­ing, episodes of bizarre and hor­ri­fy­ing deaths erupt through­out the North­east­ern United States.  Peo­ple sud­denly begin act­ing very strangely, then com­mit sui­cide.  Is this some dia­bol­i­cal ter­ror­ist weapon, or a gov­ern­ment exper­i­ment gone wrong?  Is it in the water?  The air?  What is caus­ing this mas­sive psy­cho­log­i­cal break­down?  Philadel­phia high school sci­ence teacher Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg) is on the run, try­ing to sur­vive and pro­tect those close to him from this unseen threat.
